Les cérémonies de fin d'année de l'Escadron Richelieu ont eu lieu le vendredi 14 mai 2004.
Cette année il y avait deux cérémonies, les deux dans le pavilion dit «multifonction», celui
qu'on appelait la salle d'exercice (gymnase, parades par temps inclément, bals, etc., etc.). Cinq "vieux brigadiers" de la classe d'entrée 1952 au CMR de Saint-Jean y ont assisté: Yvon Bégin et Ruth, Jacques Gauthier et Rita, Peter Harrison, Bill Lynn et Marg, et Serge Morin. Les Bégin et Gauthier ont échappé les photographes, mais il y a des photos des autres à cette page. |
The year-end ceremonies of Richelieu Squadron were held Friday May 14, 2004. This year
there were two ceremonies, both in the "Multifunction" building, which we called the
Drill Hall (gymnasium, bad weather parades, balls, etc., etc.) Five Old Brigade members from the 1952 CMR entry class attended: Yvon Bégin and Ruth, Jacques Gauthier and Rita, Peter Harrison, Bill Lynn and Marg, and Serge Morin. The Bégins and Gauthiers escaped the photographers, but there are photos of the others on this page. |

La cérémonie académique a commencé à dix heures. À cette cérémonie tous les élèves-officiers ont reçu leur diplome d'année Préparatoire, et certains élèves-officiers ont reçu des prix académiques; 1) L'élève-officier s'étant le plus amélioré en français langue seconde: Élof Schenk 2) L'élève-officier s'étant le plus amélioré en anglais langue seconde: Élof Gendron-Houle 3) Le prix du meilleur essai en français dans le programme de Sciences humaines: Élof Clot, «Les Accords d'Oslo. Israeliens et Palestiniens à la recherche de la paix» 4) Le prix du meilleur essai dans le programme de Sciences humaines en anglais: Élof Rector, «The Unification of the Canadian Forces» 5) Le prix de la meilleure dissertation an langue française: Élof Gordon, sur le roman L'étranger d'Albert Camus 6) Le prix en littérature anglaise: Élof Scott 7) La meilleure moyenne générale dans le programme de Sciences de la nature: Élof Brown, 86% de moyenne générale. 8) La meilleure moyenne générale dans le programme de Sciences humaines: Élof Scott, 86% de moyenne générale. |
The academic ceremony started at 1000 hours. At this ceremony all the officer-cadets received their Preparatory Year diploma, and academic prizes were awarded as follows: 1) French Second Language Progress Award: OCdt Schenk 2) English Second Language Progress Award: OCdt Gendron-Houle 3) Best French Social Science Essay Award: OCdt Clot, "Les Accords d'Oslo. Israliens et Palistiniens à la recherche de la paix". 4) Best English Social Science Essay Award: OCdt Rector, "The Unification of the Canadian Forces" 5) French Literature Award: OCdt Gordon, for his essay on Albert Camus' novel, L'étranger. 6) English Literature Award: OCdt Scott 7) Best overall academic average in sciences: OCdt Brown, 86% 8) Best overall academic average in arts: OCdt Scott, 86% |

La cérémonie militaire a commencé à 11h15. À cette cérémonie les élèves-officiers ont fait une parade militaire avec inspection par l'officier de revue, le Brigadier-général Jean Leclerc, commandant du collège militaire royal du Canada. Certains d'entre eux ont aussi reçu des prix: Trophée de l'infantrie canadienne: section gagnante à la compétition de navigation «Leadership Égaré», remis par le commandant du 5e GSS, le Col Rousseau à: Élof Hart, Section 1 de l'escadrille 3 Trophée Harold Feldman Memorial: meilleure escadrille por l'ensemble des activités et compétirions sportives, remis par le commandant de l'escadron Richelieu, le Maj Houston à: Élof Hart, Escadrille 3 Trophée du Général Tremblay: meilleure escdrille pour l'ensemble des activités et compétitions militaires, remis par le commandant de l'ÉPGFC , le LCol Lortie à: Élof Hart, Escadrille 3 La remise de six médaillons et bourses fut rendue possible grâce à la générosité des membres de la classe de graduation 1957 du Collège militaire royal du Canada représentée par trois d'entre eux. Le médaillon et la bourse de 225$ pour le meilleur rendement global au niveau ses sports, présentés par M. William Lynn. Masculin: Élof Andrew Baier Féminin: Élof Sarah Lemay Le médaillon et la bourse de 225$ pour le meilleur rendement global au niveau militaire, présentés par M. Serge Morin: Masculin: Élof Zachary Gatehouse Féminin: Élof Myriam Busset Le médaillon et la bourse de 300$ pour l'excellence sue l'ensemble des quatre piliers du collège militaire, présentés par M. Peter Harrison: Masculin: Élof Martin Hart Féminin: Élof Danièle Scott La coupe des anciens, anciennement The General Richard Turner Trophy, est remise à la meilleure escadrille sur l'ensemble des trois piliers suivants: académique, militaire et athlétique, par le commandant du CMR, le Bgen Leclerc, reçu par les Élofs: Bogyay, Loughery, Cassette, Plowman et Forget pour l'escadrille 3. |
The military ceremony started at 1115 hours. At this ceremony the officer-cadets paraded with inspection by BGen Jean Leclerc, Commandant of the Royal Military College of Canada. Some of the officer-cadets received prizes: The Canadian Infantry Trophy was presented to the winning section in the year-end map-using exercise, "Leadership Égaré". The trophy was presented by Col Rousseau, commandant of 5 GSS, to OCdt Hart, for Section 1, Flight 3. The Harold Feldman Memorial Trophy was presented by Richelieu Squadron Commander Major Houston, to the flight that obtained the best overall results in sports activities and competitons, received by OCdt Hart, for Flight 3. The General Tremblay Trophy was presented by CFMDS CO LCol Lortie, to the flight that obtained the best overall results in military activities and competitions, received by OCdt Hart, for Flight 3. Six medallions and bursaries were rendered possible by the generosity of the RMC graduating class of 1957, represented by three members of that class.
